INTRODUCTION

PFU Limited, part of the Ricoh group, has launched the new ScanSnap iX2400, a compact USB-connected image scanner designed to bring business-grade speed and reliability to small businesses, home offices and freelancers. The iX2400 pairs a minimalist one-button operation with advanced feeding and image technologies so users can digitize documents quickly without complex setup or network configuration. Performance and capacity meet simplicity

Powered by PFU’s next-generation “iiGA” system-on-chip, the iX2400 delivers the fastest scanning speed in its class for personal scanners — up to 45 pages per minute (A4, duplex, color, 300 dpi) — while supporting a 100-sheet automatic document feeder that handles mixed batches with confidence. Those specs make the iX2400 ideal for routine high-volume jobs such as contracts, invoices and receipts. (pfu.ricoh.com)

Designed to protect documents and reduce errors

The iX2400 inherits commercial-grade paper feeding technologies: ultrasonic multi-feed detection, a precision brake roller and automatic skew detection that will stop feeding if misalignment is detected. A detachable Receipt Guide keeps thin or curled items steady, and the scanner’s robust transport mechanics were built to minimize damage to originals during heavy use. (pfu.ricoh.com)

One-touch operation and seamless workflow

There’s no touchscreen or Wi-Fi to manage — the iX2400 is USB-only and starts scanning with a single physical button. Scanned files flow directly into ScanSnap Home (for PC), which offers intelligent image processing, easy organization, and quick destinations such as folders, email and supported cloud and collaboration apps including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Notion and iCloud. Support for ARM-based Windows PCs via ScanSnap Home will be available from December 9, 2025. (pfu.ricoh.com)

Improved image quality and reliable results

PFU Clear Image Capture technology and streak-reduction processing improve color fidelity and reduce moiré, producing cleaner scans of photos, posters and delicate documents. The combination of hardware and software improvements helps ensure readable OCR results and sharper digital archives. (pfu.ricoh.com)

Energy efficiency and environmental design

The iX2400 is energy-conscious in operation (approximately 13 W) and uses more than 25% recycled plastic in the main unit’s resin. Packaging employs pre-consumer recycled plastics and pulp molds with a goal of minimizing virgin fossil-plastic use. These choices reflect PFU’s stated commitment to sustainability across product design and logistics. (pfu.ricoh.com)
